Beautiful Ametis near Canggu beach

When I lived on Bali a few years ago I worked as a jewelry designer in Canggu. Back then, there wasn’t much to do there, other than head to Echo Beach or check out the cool Deus store. For restaurants, shops and entertainment, you had to go to Seminyak, about a 20 minute ride down south. Flash forward a few years and Canggu has turned into a trendy, fast growing community with nice cafes, bars, restaurants and shops!

Ametis Villa is located near Echo Beach, but also at walking distance from the center of Canggu. From the moment we arrived we were struck by how extremely friendly, even for Bali with its very friendly locals, the staff was: from the security in the parking lot to the receptionists and the personal butler. As a western girl, not used to butlers, I have always found it a bit ‘difficult’ to get used to a personal butler, but Dan was so kind, professional and helpful that it was a fantastic experience! He took us straight by reception to our villa, checked us in within minutes and that really provided a celebrity experience in paradise.

Ametis Villa is a lovely property, green, lush and tropical, with beautiful foliage spread around the entire estate. Every time I walked down the wooden path to our villa, it felt like a vacation to a simpler time. I loved that the villas have names (we stayed in Sapphire), not numbers, and adored the mix of authentic wood and stone elements. Yet each villa offers every modern amenity one can ask for.

All the villas at Ametis are spacious, luxurious and very comfy! The room was serviced twice a day (and I love the turn down service every evening) and the garden and pool were maintained meticulously while we were there.

I really love Ametis Villa and look forward to coming back, if only to see the lovely staff again and okay – lounge in the incredible pool in our private villa!

    as always very beautiful photos! I love dogs very much and I have two little Chihuahua ladies at home 🙂
    Want to take a bath with blooms too! It looks great.
    Bali is definitely on my travel bucket list. By now I haven’t been there but I can imagine that it may be like the Hawaiian islands and Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places on earth.
