A pink perfect Winter-survival outfit

I have a love-hate relationship with the Winter season. I detest the freezing cold as much as I adore the snow. I feel that if I want to stay warm, just getting dressed takes me hours. But I’ve become better at it over the years and I know now that because you have to wear a winter-survival outfit, it doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style.

I think that boots are the the most important items of a good winter proof look. I found these sequin snow boots by Moonboot and they are about the warmest thing I’ve ever worn, warm enough to keep my toes from freezing.

Layering is a must when you are outside for an extended amount of time, so it is the most crucial part to get right. The only way to start out good is by wearing thermal underwear, it is maybe not the most sexiest thing to wear, but it is the best invention. Ever. Over that I wear a thick pair of simple black treggings by H&M.

My favorite Reiss sweater, that I got last year, is made for this weather. It is very comfortable and it definitely keeps you warm. Another favorite in frigid temperatures is my Faux Fur Reiss coat as it matches most items in my closet and it covers my butt.

And last but nog least, don’t forget the details! Since you can actually experience snow blindness if you don’t have sunglasses on. A great accessory are these delightful sunnies by Paul Smith eyewear.

  1. Hi Merel,
I love your Moonboots! The color is absolutely mine and they look great. My second favorite piece is your beautiful coat. You look adorable with this coat and I can imagine that it warms very good.
I really understand your love-hate for wintertime. I always feel the same. On the one hand winter could be very nice, especially in the mountains. On the other hand winter is bad because of all the cold. But you made it and your winter look is hot hot hot 🙂
Have a nice weekend my lovely Merel :-*

  2. Merel, I feel the same about cold weather, but wearing a beautiful and warm jacket makes everything better, lol. I really like yours, and especially how it matches with your Moonboot shoes:) Perfect outfit for a day in the mountains. Thanks so much for sharing and Happy Easter!
